Beauty and the Beast (2017) – Movie Review

In french, La Belle et la Bête –book written by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve in 1740.

What is true love? Does love have a beautiful face? Well, to answer these questions go watch the movie. This movie will make you fall in love all over again.  This musical romantic fantasy movie will have you entertained and did I mention about Emma Watson? You won’t be able to get your eyes off her. When you watch her on-screen, and if you have been following Harry Potter series, you might get an illusion that you are watching one of our favourite characters, Hermione Granger. But snap out its not!!

The film is a live-action and computer-animation remake of Disney’s 1991 animated film of the same name, an adaptation of Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont’s  eighteenth-century  best known version of the fairy tale.

Both Belle and the Beast are given a background story that was absent in the previous versions and the source text.

The witty dialogues match with the musical score. Won’t be surprised if this movie gets awarded.
