Bake a Cake

 All those meals that she has cooked for us it’s time to cook one for her! Why not Bake a cake, it doesn’t matter if you are not a regular in cooking but what does matter is you tried. Go online and find some easy to make recipes. We have one for you.

Banana-Coconut Cake:

  1. 1 cup flour
  2. 1.5 cup sugar
  3. 3 eggs
  4. 1 cup butter (unsalted)
  5. 1 cup grated coconut
  6. 1 ripe medium sized banana
  7. 1 teaspoon soda-bicarb
  8. 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  1. Mix flour and soda-bicarb and sieve it twice.
  2. Beat 3 eggs in a bowl. Add melted butter to it and mix well.
  3. Powder the sugar in mixie and start adding sugar spoon by spoon to the batter. Make sure to avid formation of any lumps.
  4. Now add the flour to the batter spoon by spoon avoiding any lump. Mix well.
  5. Add 3/4th of the grated coconut to the batter and mix well.
  6. Cut the banana into very small pieces and add to the batter. Mix it well.
  7. At last add vanilla essence to the batter.
  8. Oil the baking container and give it a flour coating. You can also use baking paper.
  9. Pour the batter into the container. 
  10. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4th of the grated coconut on top of the batter. 
  11. Pre-heat the oven for 10 minutes in minimum temperature setting and then insert the batter. Keep temperature of the oven minimum and bake it for minimum 40 minutes. 
  12. Insert a knife into the cake and check if the knife comes out clean. If not bake for another 10 minutes and check.
  13. It takes 45-60 minutes to bake the cake.
  14. When the knife come out clean, take the cake out of oven and cool it down completely before taking if out of the baking container.
  15. Serve it fresh.

    I wish I could gift my mother a spa date but she can’t sit down long enough to enjoy anything so probably baking her a cake or taking her shopping would work best

    For religious reasons my Mom does not
    observe popular holidays like Mother’s Day. But we buy gifts for her all year round, and even make handmade gifts for her and my Dad. We do our best to make them both feel sincerely honored.

  10. I agree that one should not totally throw off things because of being lazy or feeling like i don’t have to go beyond. The problem is that I cannot seem to do most of those things. She is not big on jewelry, is allergic to so many foods I cannot count, has had issues in the past with spa treatments, and doesn’t like the little nick nacks she uses one year and then just don’t get used. And she is allergic to flowers. It’s really hard sometimes.
